Grades 1-5
Children in grades 1-5 meet weekly during the school year.
Classes are provided for each grade level.
The program uses the “Blest Are We” curriculum for grades 1, 3, 4 and 5.
The RCL Sacrament Preparation series is used in the 2nd grade for both Reconciliation and First Holy Communion.
Classes are offered on:
Tuesdays 5-6pm
Wednesdays 5-6pm
Wednesdays 6:30-7:30pm
The fee is $110 per child. There is an additional $25 sacrament fee for all 2nd graders.
The program is based on Scripture, prayer and doctrines of the Church as they relate to the children’s lives. Each week parents are asked to work with their child to complete a chapter review and “Family Time” section in their child’s workbook. In the 2nd grade workbook these pages are called “Together as a Family”. Our goal is to help the children grow in their faith as Catholic Christians. CLASSES CANCELLATIONS:
Due to the weather, it is sometimes necessary to cancel classes.
Remember that if Unit 5 dismisses early or cancels classes for the day, 
RE classes will not meet. Our policy reads as follows:
If for weather reasons, classes need to be canceled on Tuesday or Wednesday,
a decision will be made by 2:30pm that afternoon and called into radio station WJBC.
Weather cancellations are day by day. At times, classes may be canceled on Tuesday night only to have the weather clear, allowing classes to be held on Wednesday night. We ask that you look at your Weekly Lesson Plan and help your child complete the chapter that was to be taught the evening of a canceled class.
Completing this work will help the teacher and our program to remain on schedule.
